This piece is a homage to Scarborough Fair. This song goes back so far that the author is unknown, and was shared in a time when our relationship with nature and with each other was much more natural. It is said that this song is a reflection on love, loss, and the passage of time, which is how I feel about mankind's relationship with nature.

Given that the theme of my work is all about connection to the land, it felt fitting to weave this in. I also feel like one of our strongest connections to nature is and will always be through the food we prepare to eat. This brings us back into conversation with the natural world every day, whether we sit in presence with that or not
